Nested Lists

My critics have on occasion accused me of being obsessed with making lists. Much as I would like to deny it, there are times when I am forced to acknowledge that the allegation is not wholly without basis.

Of late I have been making more lists than usual because I am going on a long holiday and there are twenty million things I need to take care of before I leave. On Sunday I was running through a list I had made last week: Things to do over the weekend. And two of the items were:
• Make a list of things to take to India
• Make a list of transactions to be handed over

I had made a list of what lists I had to make!

'My Critics'.. OMG! So you have 'critics' now is it? No Sroyon, you don't have critics.. there are just lots of people who think you are crazy!!! :D

No no Sryon has many critics and admirers. Just ask the one guard at South Point who darednot to name his kid Sroyon.

I have been so bad at managing things that I have been often asked to keep lists...and my worst fears are always about forgetting all about the list!!

You should read 'Getting Things Done' by David Allen. He takes making lists to the next level - something you might find interesting.

Ah! Koddin por elam! Yes, Pratiti talks about these habits of yours. She is almost solely responsible for the fact that I'm scared of you.

-Raktima. (I like Senjuti.)

Very scared.

Ah lists. What would I do without them. Although mostly they just give me a vague sense of comfort knowing that I have a concrete set of tasks defined. Doing those tasks is another thing entirely. :P

IBM used to have a form request form. You filled one out if you needed a new type of form.

Also, I groove the title.

@IP: It is they who are the critics.

@Saha: I will not dignify that comment with a response.

@mrunmayee: More potential for nested lists there.

@Karthy: Wow, books like that scare me cross-eyed.

@Senjuti: That is mildly disquieting.

@Raktima: Pratiti is your friend and you are scared of *me*?

@Shrabasti: Nooo, half the fun of making to-do lists is ticking them off.

@Tommy: That sounds like something the Writers' Building folk would come up with

Fine.. since people insist on talking about the subject of this post rather than your rather grandiose claims of having 'critics'......

I actually have often been asked to shun making lists as apparently that is the evidence of a feeble mind. "Manavi, lists banana chodo... sab dimag me rakhna seekho. Hamesha lists se kaam nahi chalega..", is what I often hear!!

oh but I am loyal to lists...Ah what would I do without lists!! Probably nothing! Nothing at all. :)
