They say the only Zen you find on the tops of mountains is the Zen you bring up there.
Last year I climbed Fuji by night, timing the climb to reach the summit in time for sunrise. I brought with me no Zen at all, and I found none at the top – I found only a spectacular sunrise and unexpectedly, a ramen stall. But who can say? – maybe Zen is steaming ramen when you’re hungry, and the pinkgold sky at dawn. |

What a pretty pictaar-story! It took me nearly five minutes to load it on my slow mobile but was totally worth it. I daresay I'll appreciate it more after I have spent another five minutes Googling Zen, which I have a vague idea of, and Ramen, which I have no idea of.
Zen is equanimity in the face of slow mobile connections.
