Prolate Spheroid

I had this argument with Pratiti today, but we had to cut it short because she was getting late for school. So I leave you, the discerning public, to judge for yourself. Look at the area A ∩ B (both A & B) in the Venn diagram below.

Does it or does it not look like a potol?

A prolate spheroid has rounded ends.

@Tommy: Some potols have rounded ends and are shaped roughly like prolate spheroids, though the ones in the picture are not the best examples. But the more common shape is what you get by rotating an arc of a circle about an axis passing through its endpoints. Do you know what such a shape is called?

Only in good season, mind. Wrinkled potols are remarkably common.

Tottally does.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Yes, it does look like a fish. Like the ones the three year olds draw. At least the first lines, before they draw the squiggly lines to kill the likeness.

On another note, if it does look like potol, and if that overlapping area signifies a set of people, tenara ki potol tullen?

Loves,

Evo

Sroyon: I don't know a name for that.

In the USA you could call it football-shaped.
